Tapered heating and isothermal extrusion by single log aluminiu billet heating furnace
What Is Isothermal Aluminum Extrusion?
Isothermal control offers a way to stabilize thermal conditions in extrusion and improve results.
Isothermal control in aluminum extrusion refers to maintaining a consistent and optimal temperature profile—from billet through die exit—to ensure uniform metallurgical properties and dimensionally accurate extrusions.
Isothermal extrusion is an extrusion strategy designed to maintain a relatively constant profile exit temperature throughout the billet cycle.
What is the design arrangement for taper heating for single log aluminiu billet heating furnace
The taper heating for a single log billet heating furnace is equipped with multiple nozzles on both sides of the inner side of the furnace at the front of the furnace. The nozzles are evenly spaced along the front and rear of the furnace at a certain distance. Each nozzle is connected to an electromagnetic valve through a pipeline, which is located on the outside of the single rod furnace. Each electromagnetic valve is electrically connected to a programmable controller and can control the spraying time of the nozzles Due to the fact that the nozzles installed in the furnace are arranged along the front and rear of the aluminum billet, each nozzle is connected to an electromagnetic valve and controlled by a programmable controller to control the intake time of the electromagnetic valve, thereby controlling the nozzle’s flame spraying time. This achieves the effect of controlling the heating temperature at different positions of the aluminum billet, making the temperature at the front of the aluminum rod low and gradually increasing at the back. When the aluminum billet enters the die, the temperature at the front increases due to friction at deformation zone, making the temperature at the front and back basically equal, thus achieving the purpose of isothermal extrusion.
