1.Anodizing treatment

1).What is anodizing?

Anodizing is an electrochemical process that converts the metal surface into a decorative, durable, corrosion-resistant, anodic oxide finish.

2).Process flow

(1)single colour,gradients:polishing/blasting/hairline→degrease→ anodizing →neutralization→colouring→sealing→drying

(2)double colour:

a.polishing/blasting/hairline→degrease→hide→anodizing 1→anodizing 2 →sealing→drying

b.polishing/blasting/hairline→degrease→anodizing1→engraving→anodizing 2→sealing→drying

3).Technical features:improve hardness,getting more clour choices,Nickel-free

4).Technical difficulty:anodizing chemical addictives quantity influence the production costs,suitable temp control,reasonable electric density control etc.

2.Electrophoresis(EPD)

1).What is electrophoresis?

EPD is a term for a broad range of industrial processes which includes electrocoating, cathodic electrodeposition, anodic electrodeposition, and electrophoretic coating, or electrophoretic painting. A characteristic feature of this process is that colloidal particles suspended in a liquid medium migrate under the influence of an electric field (electrophoresis) and are deposited onto an electrode.

2).Process flow:Pretreatment→electrophoresis→drying

3).Technical features:many colour choices,metallic-free texture,can process complex workpiece,suitable for batch production

4).Technical difficulty:low defect remove ability

3.Micro arc oxidation(MAO)

1).What is Micro arc oxidation(MAO)?

Micro-arc oxidation (MAO) technique is capable of producing dense oxide films on the aluminium alloy surface. This oxide film protects the aluminium alloy from the corrosion attack for longer duration.

2).Process flow:Pretreatment→hot water rinse→MAO→drying

3).Technical features:Ceramic texture, dumb appearance, no high-gloss products, delicate feel, fingerprint-proof

4).Technical difficulty:clour choice limited,only blace,grey is mature.high power consumption with high costs

4.Physical vapor deposition(PVD)

1).What is PVD?it is a variety of vacuum deposition methods which can be used to produce thin films and coatings. PVD is characterized by a process in which the material goes from a condensed phase to a vapor phase and then back to a thin film condensed phase.

2).Process flow:PVD Pretreatment→Vacuum oven→ION→coating film→cooling→polishing/AFP

3).Technical features:High Hardness and Wear Resistance

5.Electroplating

1).What is Electroplating?is a process that uses an electric current to reduce dissolved metal cations so that they form a thin coherent metal coating on an electrode

2).Process flow

Pretreatment→non-cyanide alkaline copper plating process→non-cyanide white copper and tin→chromium plating

3).Technical features:high gloss, high quality metal appearance,suitable for SUS、Al、Zn、Mg etc and cost lower than PVD

4).Technical difficulty:The risk of environmental pollution is high

5.Powder coating

1).What is Powder Coating?

Powder coating is widely considered to be the ideal method of decorating and protecting aluminum components, products, and parts. By electrostatically spraying and fusing this mixture of pigments and resins onto a surface, you can achieve a high-quality, extremely durable finish that will extend the life of your metal and ensure its continued aesthetic appeal.

2).Process flow

Workpiece loading→electrostatic dust removal→powder coating→Low temperature leveling→Oven drying

3).Technical features:More durable coatings,capabilities for thicker and specialty finishes,less environmental impact,more efficient curing and drying processes,greater material utilization

6.Hairline

1).What is Hairline?

By using grinding wheel to get line effect,strong decoration.there are different line effect:Direct line/Random line/Ripple line/Paisley line

2).Technical features:hairline can make the metal surface obtain non-mirror metallic luster, and at the same time, the hairline treatment can also eliminate the fine defects of the metal surface

7.Sand Blasting

1).What is sand blasting?

Blasting is a process where small angular or spherical particles are propelled at a substrate by compressed air, mechanical high-speed rotating wheels or water pumps. This process is widely used because it is efficient, economical and fast.

2).Technical features:get reflective or matte effect,deburring,clean workpiece

8.Polishing

1).What is polishing?The surface of workpiece is processed by flexible polishing tools, abrasive particles or other polishing media.

2).Process flow:partial polish→whole polish→rough polish→fine polish→clean→drying→inspection

3).Technical features:Improve the dimensional accuracy or geometric shape accuracy of the workpiece to obtain a smooth surface or mirror gloss, but also to eliminate gloss.

9.Etching

1).What is Etching?

Etching is traditionally the process of using strong acid or mordant to cut into the unprotected parts of a metal surface to create a design in intaglio (incised) in the metal

2).Process flow

a.Exposure method:preparation→clean→drying→film/coating→drying→exposure→Development→drying→etching→film remove→okay

b.Screen printing:cutting→clean→screen printing→etching→film remove→okay

3).Technical features:It can be used for fine metal surface processing.It can give special effect to metal surface.Most of the corrosive liquids (acid, alkali, etc.) used in etching are harmful to the environment.
